Return to Your Center

In the ebbs and flows of this wild ride, we need to stay centered – in our Being and our Truth.

The more aligned we are with our values & goals, and the more regulated our nervous system is, the more access we have to our Power of Choice, to consciously respond from Love.

Here is a powerful somatic exercise that, when practiced regularly, will serve you in returning to your Center and your Authentic Alignment whenever you get pulled off of your Path.

This centering practice is best done standing. Walking is great, too, and even seated will have benefits. It’s also helpful to keep your eyes open so you have easier access to its nutrients in your day-to-day life.

REPEAT IT FREQUENTLY! (Like, twice a day, and anytime you need a reset, confidence booster, or realignment.)

Before getting started, connect to something BIG that you’re a full Yes to – something that feels so completely aligned for you that it’s a driving force in your life and feels like your Path of Purpose. (Ex: taking care of your family, healing generational trauma, making a fulfilling impact on the world.)

Then, move through the various dimensions of your energetic being to tap into your Center and access the clarity for your next step.

Bringing your awareness to your spine and the length of your being – starting at your feet, rooted in the ground, and moving all the way up through the crown of your head; extending your length ever so slightly – experience your Dignity.


Bringing your awareness to your sides and lateral edges, the width of your being – feeling the outer seams of your ribs and legs; extending your arms out a few inches to feel the energy of the living beings around you – experience your Belonging.


Bringing your awareness to your backside and your past (your personal history and all its lessons, as well as your ancestors and your lineage; all that’s behind you) – noticing the back of your head, torso, legs; leaning back an inch to engage it all – experience your Support.


Bringing your awareness to your frontside and your future (all that you desire which is calling you forward) – looking ahead, and even reaching your arms out in front of you, as though you’re welcoming your dreams – experience your Progress.


Bringing your awareness to your insides and your senses – dropping back into your rootedness, feeling the blood in your veins, looking around you, hearing, smelling; noticing your safety and strength – experience your Presence.


Bringing your awareness to your Center now, to the very core of your being, with one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart – experience your authentic alignment, and make the conscious choice that the very next step you take will be on your Path of Purpose.
