Co-regulation, Circumvention, Capacity, & Clarity

Today’s episode covers a handful of scenarios for practicing boundaries – starting with a personal boundary I have with myself about not diving in to rescue someone in a way that bypasses their power, and a more aligned response that involves self-regulation and co-regulation.

In the last episode, we explored ways to handle pushback on our boundaries, so in this one, I also wanted to share a boundary hack for navigating pushback on your decisions by lovingly redirecting the conversation. Additionally, I talk about observing and accepting other people’s boundaries by way of their capacity limits, and how we can learn to trust our own in a way that supports our wellbeing and our growth.

In the next episode, another friend will join me to chat about the S of the GATES Method: Steward your limited resources – which is all about ongoing maintenance and self-care. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe so you receive all of this nourishing support!

And if you would to learn about more options for supportif you’re not too attached to doing everything for everyone all on your own, that is – go to https://explorelovingboundaries.com and grab a spot on my calendar for us to come up with a plan together – no charge, no strings.

Lots of love!
