Today’s episode covers a handful of scenarios for practicing boundaries – starting with a personal boundary I have with myself about not diving in to rescue someone in a way that bypasses their power, and a more aligned response that involves self-regulation and co-regulation.
In the last episode, we explored ways to handle pushback on our boundaries, so in this one, I also wanted to share a boundary hack for navigating pushback on your decisions by lovingly redirecting the conversation. Additionally, I talk about observing and accepting other people’s boundaries by way of their capacity limits, and how we can learn to trust our own in a way that supports our wellbeing and our growth.
In the next episode, another friend will join me to chat about the S of the GATES Method: Steward your limited resources – which is all about ongoing maintenance and self-care. If you haven’t already, be sure to subscribe so you receive all of this nourishing support!
And if you would to learn about more options for support – if you’re not too attached to doing everything for everyone all on your own, that is – go to https://explorelovingboundaries.com and grab a spot on my calendar for us to come up with a plan together – no charge, no strings.
Lots of love!
